Bad Boy Pizza Society: Pizza, Dips and House Beer in Bethnal Green

Tucked along Bethnal Green Road in East London, Bad Boy Pizza Society (the Bethnal Green pizzeria) has quietly become one of the most enjoyable family-friendly pizza spots in the area. I dropped in recently with the kids, and the combination of seriously good pizza, standout dips and their own in-house brewed lager made it the kind of place I'm already planning to come back to.

The Pies

The menu is built around a tight list of round pies in the £25–£28 range, each one generously topped and built on a dough that you actually want to finish the crust of. The Vodka Pie (vodka sauce, mozzarella, basil, parm) and the White Pie (stracciatella crust, mascarpone, mozzarella, whipped goats cheese, caramelised onion) are both standouts, and the Tomato Pie is available with vegan stracciatella for plant-based diners.

The Dips

The real surprise is the dips. They are clearly made in-house and have enough personality to justify ordering a couple of extras to share around the table — exactly the kind of small detail that elevates a pizza dinner.

The Beer

What sets Bad Boy apart from the average neighbourhood pizzeria is the in-house brewery. The house lager — BBPS Social Lager — is brewed on site and pairs naturally with the pizza. There's also a decent short wine list and a handful of cocktails if beer isn't your thing.

With Kids

The space is relaxed and welcoming for families. The kids were happy, the food arrived quickly, and there was no sense that we were holding anyone up — exactly what you want from a weekend pizza outing in East London. Opening hours: Wednesday to Saturday 12pm–10pm, Sunday 12pm–9pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

A genuinely good neighbourhood find. Creative pies, in-house dips, house-brewed lager, family-friendly — all the boxes ticked, with none of the fuss. Bad Boy Pizza Society has four sites across London; this is the Bethnal Green branch.
